Wirehed, Karen, Wednesday and I headed West to visit the KPH historic radio station building in Bolinas and see Frank Lloyd Wright’s last commission in Marin.
On our way to Bolinas, we spotted signs for a historic cemetery. It took us a bit of wandering around to find it, as it was nestled in a grove of trees at the top of a hill.
After we finished taking silly photos and enjoying the view, we resumed our ride to The KPH radio station.
The cypress tree lined driveway to the station is gorgeous. It is spectacular during sunset, but we were here too early for that shot.
It is never boring with Karen and Wednesday around.
The KPH station used for ship to shore morse code communications during the 20th century.
We stopped at the Station House in Point Reyes for lunch.
Then, it was to Sausalito to visit the SF Bay Model.
This guy had this gorgeous hand made ship on his bike, along with various musical instruments.
Next stop, Marin Civic Center to view Frank Lloyd Wright’s last commission.
Fantastic Art Deco everywhere!
